China Implements Economic Measures Against the U.S., Including Drone Export Controls

China has introduced a range of economic measures against the United States, which were announced on Wednesday. These measures include controls on drone exports to the U.S. and a ban on transactions with six American entities, as a reaction to recent U.S. restrictions.

The Chinese Commerce Ministry stated that these sanctions are a direct response to actions taken by the U.S., such as the Federal Communications Commission's ban on importing Chinese drones and the Department of Homeland Security's addition of 43 Chinese companies to a list aimed at preventing imports linked to forced labor.

China emphasized that its actions are necessary countermeasures and called for the U.S. to reverse its restrictive measures. The ministry also indicated that further sanctions could follow if the U.S. imposes additional restrictions. Among the banned entities are Applied DNA Sciences, Inc. and Human Rights in China, while Compliance Testing LLC was prohibited from business in China for its collaboration with the FCC.
