Chris Barnett Joins Power Slap Following UFC Departure
Chris Barnett, a former heavyweight fighter in the UFC, has officially signed with Power Slap, as announced by the promotion on Wednesday.
After a challenging stint in the UFC that concluded in 2025 with a record of 2-4, Barnett faced his last two opponents, Hamdy Abdelwahab and Kennedy Nzechukwu, resulting in consecutive losses. The 40-year-old fighter recently participated in Karate Combat, achieving a quick victory over Johnathan Miller in December.
While Power Slap has not yet revealed when Barnett will make his debut or who his opponent will be, he boasts a professional MMA record of 23-10 and has experience in various combat sports since 2009. His time in the UFC included a notable Performance of the Night award for a knockout against Gian Villante. Barnett has also competed against notable fighters like Yoel Romero in submission grappling.
