Chris Bell Returns to Practice for Miami Dolphins
Chris Bell, a rookie wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, has returned to practice after being sidelined for much of training camp due to a knee injury. He was activated from the non-football injury list on Monday and has participated in two practices this week.
Bell, who was a third-round draft pick from Louisville, is recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament sustained last November. He has been cautious in his return, wearing a red non-contact jersey and participating in individual drills while running routes during team activities.
Although Bell is making progress, he will not take part in the upcoming joint practice with the New York Giants or the pre-season game on Saturday. Coach Jeff Hafley noted that while Bell has worked hard, he still has steps to complete before being fully cleared for contact. Miami's receiving corps has been bolstered by the drafting of three receivers this year, and Bell's size and skills could provide a valuable option for the team moving forward.
