Chris Jericho Discusses Key Difference Between Attitude Era and Modern Wrestling

Chris Jericho recently shared his perspective on the notable differences between the Attitude Era of wrestling and the current landscape during an interview with The Sportster. He emphasized that the late 1990s and early 2000s featured a remarkable number of top-tier talent, which he believes is a significant factor in why that era is fondly remembered by fans.

Jericho pointed out that during the Attitude Era, WWE had around a dozen main event stars who were not only prominent figures but also major draws for the company. He named several iconic wrestlers from that time, including The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Triple H, among others. While he acknowledged the presence of talented wrestlers today, he noted that the same level of star power and iconic status is not as prevalent in the current era.

In addition to discussing the wrestling landscape, Jericho is currently promoting his documentary titled Vietslam, which explores the growing pro wrestling scene in Vietnam. He also has an upcoming match against Kevin Knight for the TNT Championship on Dynamite in Las Vegas.
