Chris Jericho Unable to Join Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Event Due to Scheduling Conflict

Chris Jericho, a notable figure in Canadian wrestling, was in discussions to participate in the upcoming Northern Rising pay-per-view organized by Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling on October 3 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. However, a scheduling conflict has prevented him from appearing at the event.

Adam Copeland is confirmed to make his debut at the MLP event, while Jericho had expressed his desire to be involved but ultimately could not due to prior commitments. He has praised MLP and its founder Scott D'Amore, indicating his support for the promotion when his schedule permits.

MLP was established by D'Amore following his departure from TNA Wrestling and has a partnership with AEW, which includes the airing of MLP Mayhem, a weekly television series. The event will also feature a potential title unification match if Josh Alexander recovers from knee surgery in time.
