Christian Norgaard Joins Everton as a Midfield Option for FPL Managers

Everton has secured the signing of 32-year-old midfielder Christian Norgaard from Arsenal for a fee of £7 million. Norgaard, priced at £5.0m in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), previously had limited playing time with the Gunners during their 2025/26 title-winning season.

Before joining Arsenal, Norgaard played a significant role at Brentford, where he contributed to the team's promotion and stability in the Premier League. His only league start for Arsenal came in a match against Crystal Palace, which ended at halftime. Norgaard expressed a desire for a more prominent role in his career, which influenced his move to Everton.

Despite a lack of attacking returns in his previous seasons, Norgaard has excelled in defensive contributions, making him a potential asset for FPL managers. He has consistently ranked highly in tackles and defensive metrics, suggesting he could be a valuable pick, especially with Everton's favorable early fixtures. However, his starting position in the team remains uncertain as he competes with other midfielders for a spot in the lineup.
