Christian Pulisic Excluded from USA Squad; Cavan Sullivan Included

Christian Pulisic will not be included in the United States men's soccer team for their first roster of the 2030 World Cup cycle, according to multiple sources. This decision comes despite his recent performance with AC Milan, where he contributed to a comeback against Lazio.

Pulisic, who has been a key player for the national team, has faced challenges since suffering a leg injury during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He has not played for the U.S. since March 2025. In his absence, 16-year-old Cavan Sullivan from the Philadelphia Union has been called up, potentially making him the youngest player in the team's history.

Alongside Sullivan, 17-year-old Adri Mehmeti from Red Bull New York will also receive his first senior team invitation. The U.S. Soccer Federation is set to announce the full roster for upcoming exhibition matches against Chile, Peru, Canada, and Mexico.
