Christian Watson Cleared and Returning to Lambeau Field
Christian Watson, a wide receiver for the Packers, has been cleared from a local hospital and is on his way back to Lambeau Field after sustaining an injury during the game.
Watson was hurt while making a 53-yard reception with 9:11 left in the first half, landing on the ball as Panthers cornerback Will Lee fell on him. He was transported to the hospital for evaluation, with concerns regarding his sternoclavicular joint.
Despite being listed as questionable to return due to a chest injury, Watson recorded six catches for 100 yards in the game, bringing his season total to a career-high of 695 receiving yards. The Panthers have ruled out Lee with a hamstring injury, which occurred on the same play. Additionally, the Packers have confirmed that tight end Josh Whyle will not return due to a concussion.
