Christian Watson's Injury Update After Packers' Win
During the Green Bay Packers' 27-19 victory over the Carolina Panthers, coach Matt LaFleur reported that Christian Watson experienced a serious incident where he landed on the football and began coughing up blood. Following this, the team took him to a hospital for precautionary measures, including a CT scan.
Watson had already made a significant impact in the game, recording 100 of his 113 receiving yards before being transported by ambulance. He left the field during the second quarter after a 53-yard completion from quarterback Jordan Love. The Packers managed to outscore the Panthers 21-3 while Watson was absent, with Josh Jacobs contributing two touchdowns during that period.
After being cleared, Watson returned to the game and caught two additional passes. He had previously entered the game with six touchdown receptions this season and recently signed a four-year contract extension. The Packers will face the New England Patriots next, giving Watson a 10-day recovery period.
