C.J. Stroud and Marvin Harrison Jr. Work on Building Connection for Texans
C.J. Stroud, the quarterback for the Houston Texans, has reconnected with his former Ohio State teammate Marvin Harrison Jr. after the Texans traded for the wide receiver in Week 5. Harrison made his debut with the team during a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
In his first outing, Harrison recorded three receptions on four targets for a total of 34 yards, with his first catch occurring midway through the second quarter. Given that he had only been with the team for a week, the Texans limited his playing time to allow him to acclimate to the offense.
Stroud, meanwhile, had a strong performance, completing 24 of 34 passes for 312 yards and three touchdowns, despite throwing one interception. Over his last three games, he has thrown seven touchdowns and averaged 312 passing yards per game. As the Texans look to improve their record of 2-4, the development of the Stroud-Harrison connection could enhance their offensive capabilities.
