Clarence Seedorf Appointed Head Coach of Corinthians
Corinthians have announced the appointment of Clarence Seedorf as their head coach, marking his first coaching position since 2019. The former Netherlands midfielder has signed a contract that extends until the end of 2027.
The 50-year-old takes over a team currently positioned 16th in the Brazilian league, just above the relegation zone, with eight matches remaining in the season. He replaces Fernando Diniz, who was dismissed after the team suffered seven consecutive losses.
Seedorf's previous coaching experience includes a stint with the Cameroon national team over seven years ago, along with tenures at AC Milan, Shenzhen FC, and Deportivo La Coruna. He expressed his commitment to building a competitive team at Corinthians, which includes notable players like Memphis Depay and Jesse Lingard.
