Cleveland Browns Sign Defensive Tackle Travis Bell
The Cleveland Browns have officially signed defensive tackle Travis Bell to their roster. In conjunction with this move, the team has waived running back T.J. Harden.
Travis Bell, 27, was originally selected by the Chicago Bears in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft after playing at Kennesaw State. He initially signed a four-year, $4 million rookie contract but was cut from the Bears' final roster and later re-signed to their practice squad.
During the 2023 season, Bell was signed to the Atlanta Falcons' active roster from the Bears' practice squad but was waived in November. He was subsequently claimed by the Cincinnati Bengals, only to be cut again after training camp in 2024. Bell spent time on the Bears' practice squad before finishing the season with the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad. In total, he played in two games for the Falcons in 2023, recording two tackles.
