Cleveland Browns to Release Wide Receiver Cedric Tillman

The Cleveland Browns are reportedly preparing to release wide receiver Cedric Tillman, according to multiple media sources on Thursday.

This decision follows the team's recent draft selections of wide receivers KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston, who were picked in the first three rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft. Concepcion was chosen 24th overall from Texas A&M, while Boston was selected 39th overall from Washington.

Tillman, who is 26 years old, has not participated in the preseason due to an undisclosed injury but returned to practice this week. He was positioned behind both rookies and Jerry Jeudy on the team's depth chart. Last season, Tillman recorded 21 receptions for 270 yards and two touchdowns over 13 games. Since being drafted in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft from Tennessee, he has accumulated 71 receptions for 833 yards and five touchdowns in 38 games.
