Cody Rhodes Optimistic About The Rock's WWE Return
The future of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in the wrestling ring has been a topic of discussion, particularly regarding potential matches against Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. As of 2026, these anticipated singles matches have not yet taken place.
Cody Rhodes shared his thoughts on the matter, suggesting that The Rock may still have a few matches left in him. He noted that while he is uncertain about the specifics, he believes The Rock could view WrestleMania 40 as a fitting conclusion to his wrestling career. The decision on whether to continue wrestling ultimately lies with The Rock himself.
The Rock, now 54, last competed at WrestleMania 40 in a tag match alongside Reigns against Rhodes and Seth Rollins, where his team emerged victorious. Although he hinted at the possibility of more matches, none have occurred in the two and a half years since. He has, however, remained involved in storylines related to The Bloodline and Rhodes, including a notable heel turn by John Cena at Elimination Chamber 2025.
