Cody Rhodes Re-signs with WWE, Plans to Conclude Career There
Cody Rhodes, a former Undisputed WWE Champion, has announced that he has re-signed with WWE and plans to conclude his wrestling career with the organization. This revelation came during a recent appearance on the podcast FLAGRANT.
In addition to his wrestling commitments, Rhodes is promoting his new movie, Street Fighter, and continues to appear on WWE SmackDown. He recently faced a setback by failing to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match due to interference from Randy Orton. Rhodes expressed that he is now able to balance his wrestling career with other projects, indicating a willingness to step away for film opportunities while maintaining ties with WWE.
Rhodes reflected on his career trajectory, noting that he previously had a specific retirement timeline but has since realized the flexibility within WWE's current structure. He emphasized the importance of family, particularly for his daughters, and mentioned his late father, Dusty Rhodes, as a source of inspiration. Rhodes made his return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 in 2022 after previously helping to establish AEW.
