Cody Rhodes Returns to WWE SmackDown After Recent Loss

Cody Rhodes is set to return to WWE SmackDown next week for the first time since his defeat to Randy Orton at Sunday Night's Main Event.

After losing in his hometown of Atlanta, Rhodes was absent from the latest SmackDown episode. However, it has been confirmed that he will participate in a sit-down interview with Michael Cole on the September 18 episode, which will take place at the Hilliard Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.

During the recent SmackDown, Randy Orton made an appearance, offering a backhanded compliment to Rhodes, stating that he is a good man but lacks the killer instinct that Orton plans to utilize in his pursuit of a 15th World Championship. Additionally, Sami Zayn became the new Undisputed WWE Champion after defeating CM Punk later in the show. Rhodes has also been active in matches against Orton during WWE's house show tour in Mexico this week.
