Collingwood Acquires Flynn Riley from Carlton in Trade Deal

Collingwood has completed its third recruitment of the off-season, officially signing Flynn Riley from Carlton on Tuesday.

The Magpies traded a third-round selection in the 2028 draft to acquire Riley, who has committed to a four-year contract, including three guaranteed years and a potential fourth year.

Riley, a 22-year-old ruck standing at 209cm, was selected with the fourth pick in the 2026 Mid-Season Draft by Carlton. Despite receiving an offer from the Blues, he opted to join Collingwood, a rival team. He made his debut for Carlton in Round 18 against Hawthorn, where he recorded six disposals, five tackles, 17 hit-outs, and scored a goal.
