Collingwood's Hayden Skipworth Aspires to Senior Coaching Role
Hayden Skipworth, the senior assistant coach for Collingwood, has stated his ambition to become a senior coach in the future. The 43-year-old was considered for coaching positions at both Carlton and Essendon but will not be taking those roles.
While Skipworth refrained from discussing the selection processes for the coaching vacancies, he emphasized his commitment to his current position at Collingwood, where he has been since 2020. He acknowledged the support he has received from head coach Craig McRae and his fellow coaches.
Skipworth's coaching journey began at Essendon, where he worked in player development before moving on to coach in the VFL. He has also served as an assistant coach at Essendon prior to joining Collingwood.
