Colton Herta to Drive for Cadillac F1 Team at US Grand Prix
The Cadillac Formula 1 Team is set to compete in the US Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, this weekend, marking the team's second home race of the season.
Colton Herta will replace Sergio Perez during the first practice session, having previously driven in FP1 sessions in Barcelona, Budapest, and Monza. The Circuit of the Americas has hosted the US Grand Prix since 2012 and is known for its challenging layout, which includes high-speed corners and a steep hill at Turn One.
Cadillac aims to build on its recent performance after both cars finished the previous race in Singapore. The team plans to evaluate some upgrades during the practice sessions, and Herta's familiarity with the circuit from his IndyCar experience is expected to provide valuable insights for the team.
