Colts Activate Alec Pierce Ahead of Preseason Finale
The Indianapolis Colts have activated wide receiver Alec Pierce from the Physically Unable to Perform list in preparation for their final preseason game against the Detroit Lions.
Pierce, who signed a four-year, $114 million contract this offseason, is recovering from ankle surgery. He had his first career 1,000-yard season last year and led the NFL in yards-per-reception for the past two seasons.
The Colts are also monitoring the recovery of quarterback Daniel Jones, who is dealing with a broken leg and an Achilles injury. Pierce was the Colts' leading receiver in 2025 and the first player to surpass 1,000 receiving yards for the team since Michael Pittman Jr. in 2023.
