Colts Add Veteran Defensive End Carl Lawson to Practice Squad
The Indianapolis Colts have signed veteran defensive end Carl Lawson to their practice squad as they prepare for Week 5 of the NFL season.
This move comes after the team released tight end Kenny Fletcher. Lawson, who played one game for the Ravens last season, has a total of 90 games under his belt since being drafted in the fourth round by the Bengals in 2017. He spent four seasons in Cincinnati, where he played under current Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo during his final two years.
Following his time with the Bengals, Lawson played three seasons with the Jets, missing the entire 2021 season due to a torn Achilles, and he was with the Cowboys in 2024. Throughout his career, he has recorded 135 tackles, 32 sacks, four forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.
