Head coach Shane Steichen announced that linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither will wear a helmet transmitter to communicate defensive calls to his teammates during the upcoming game. This decision follows comments from defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo regarding communication issues that contributed to the Ravens accumulating 506 yards in their 41-13 victory. Davis-Gaither will assume a more central role on defense, contrasting with safety Cam Bynum, who previously wore the transmitter and played deeper in the secondary.

The Colts will implement this new approach in their next matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night.
