Colts' Alec Pierce Expected to Return to Practice This Week
Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen provided an optimistic update regarding wide receiver Alec Pierce, who has been absent from training camp due to an ankle injury.
Steichen indicated that Pierce could return to practice this week if his recovery continues as expected. The injury, which has persisted since the 2025 season, initially raised concerns that Pierce might miss all of training camp and the preseason.
With the regular season approaching, Pierce's return would be beneficial for the Colts' offense, especially after he recorded 47 receptions for 1,003 yards and six touchdowns last season. The team has also signed veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen to enhance depth in the receiving corps, which is currently facing challenges with other injuries. Pierce's participation in practice would signal a positive trend for the Colts as they prepare for their opener against the Baltimore Ravens.
