Colts Consider Peyton Manning for General Manager Role
The Indianapolis Colts are reportedly considering Peyton Manning for the General Manager position after the dismissal of Chris Ballard. This speculation was raised during Dan Patrick's radio and TV show, where he suggested that the Colts' initial outreach would involve Manning.
Patrick indicated that the conversation would not only seek Manning's input on potential candidates but also gauge his interest in taking on the G.M. role, which could include an ownership stake in the team. However, Mike Chappell from Fox59/CBS4 has reported that the Colts have not yet contacted Manning.
While the roles of General Manager and part owner are separate, Manning could potentially be offered a below-market deal to buy a share of the team. Should Manning accept the G.M. position, it would require a significant commitment, likely impacting his current projects, including ManningCast and Omaha Productions.
