Colts Eye First-Round Pick for Jonathan Taylor Trade
The Indianapolis Colts are reportedly looking for a first-round pick to trade running back Jonathan Taylor, according to Tony Pauline.
Pauline suggests that Taylor's trade value aligns more closely with the package received for Christian McCaffrey in 2022, which included multiple draft picks. Although Colts head coach Shane Steichen stated that Taylor has not requested a trade, owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon has expressed a desire to keep the player. However, the Colts may reconsider if they receive a first-round offer, especially after trading Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner, both of whom are on expiring contracts.
Teams such as the Packers, Seahawks, and Broncos have reportedly shown interest in acquiring Taylor should the Colts decide to entertain trade offers. Taylor, a former second-round pick in 2020, has signed a contract extension and is currently in the final year of his deal.
