Colts GM Criticizes NFL Stars Returning to College Football
Chris Ballard, the General Manager of the Indianapolis Colts, voiced his disapproval regarding the trend of former NFL players returning to college football. This statement was made during a press conference prior to the Colts' Gameweek 1 match against the Baltimore Ravens.
Ballard criticized the notion, questioning why players would leave the NFL, a goal they strive for, to go back to college. He expressed his bewilderment at the idea, stating that it makes no sense for players to abandon their NFL aspirations.
Despite the ongoing discussions about eligibility involving the NCAA and various college teams, Ballard indicated that none of the rookies drafted or signed by the Colts had expressed any desire to return to college football. He also suggested that he would not support such requests in the future.
