Colts Place Arden Key on Injured Reserve Due to Hamstring Injury
Arden Key, a defensive end for the Indianapolis Colts, has been placed on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury he sustained during the team's 30-13 victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 4.
The Colts announced the move on Saturday, which comes as they also elevated wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine from the practice squad. Key's injury follows the team's losses of defensive ends Kwity Paye and Samson Ebukam to free agency, prompting significant investments in both Key and Micheal Clemons.
Key has been a key player for the Colts, starting all four games this season and recording eight tackles, three quarterback hits, and half a sack. However, he will miss at least four games, marking the second consecutive year he has faced a similar situation. With both Key and Clemons unavailable, the Colts will rely on other defensive ends as they prepare for their upcoming game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
