Colts Release Veteran Wide Receiver Darius Slayton

The Indianapolis Colts have announced the release of wide receiver Darius Slayton, concluding his short time with the team.

Slayton was signed by the Colts following an injury to Alec Pierce, with the intention of utilizing him as a deep threat. However, he did not participate in any games during his nearly month-long stay with the team.

In the previous season, Slayton played for the New York Giants, where he recorded 37 receptions for 538 yards and one touchdown over 14 games.
