Colts Sign Mecole Hardman and Thomas Morstead to Practice Squad
After the Colts parted ways with General Manager Chris Ballard on Monday, the team announced the addition of receiver Mecole Hardman and punter Thomas Morstead to their practice squad.
Mecole Hardman, a three-time Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs, was previously with the Bills but was released during roster cuts in August. He played in only two games for Buffalo last season, returning two punts and one kickoff.
The Colts signed Morstead following an injury to punter Rigoberto Sanchez, who left the recent game against Tennessee due to a foot injury from a blocked punt. Last season, Morstead played all 17 games for San Francisco, averaging 43.6 yards on 44 punts. The Colts are set to face the Vikings in Week 7.
