Commanders Activate Key Players Ahead of Training Camp

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs is set to join the Washington Commanders on the field for training camp following his signing with the team on Friday. In addition to Diggs, the Commanders have activated three other players.

Punter Tress Way, defensive end Dorance Armstrong, and cornerback Trey Amos have returned to active duty. Way had been on the non-football injury list due to a pectoral injury, while Armstrong and Amos were recovering from injuries that had sidelined them during the previous season.

Armstrong is coming back from a knee injury that cut his 2025 season short, and Amos is recovering from a fractured fibula sustained last November. Currently, defensive end Deatrich Wise remains the only player on the Commanders’ physically unable to perform list.
