Commanders Sign Offensive Lineman Lucas Patrick

The Commanders have finalized a deal with Lucas Patrick, a veteran interior offensive lineman, to join their 53-man roster.

Patrick, 33, previously signed with the New York Giants in April but faced a knee injury during training camp, leading to his release on August 30. He has played for multiple teams, including the Packers, Bears, Saints, and Bengals, marking this as his sixth organization.

Entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2016, Patrick has participated in 113 games and made 65 starts, primarily at center and guard. The Commanders had been monitoring him since his release and opted to sign him after Week 1 to avoid guaranteed money. He will add depth to the offensive line, supporting center Nick Allegretti and guards Chris Paul and Sam Cosmi.
