Commanders Sign Stefon Diggs to Enhance Receiving Corps
The Commanders have officially added four-time Pro Bowler Stefon Diggs to their roster, enhancing their wide receiver options. The signing occurred on Wednesday and is a one-year agreement valued at up to $12 million.
This move aims to bolster the passing game and support quarterback Jayden Daniels. Diggs joins Terry McLaurin, creating a formidable receiving duo. His performance last season included over 85 receptions, 1,013 yards, and four touchdowns, despite playing only 55% of the snaps due to recovery from an ACL injury.
Diggs is recognized for his efficiency, ranking fifth in yards per route run among qualifying wide receivers. He is expected to excel in underneath routes and contribute as a run blocker. The Commanders are now focused on integrating him into their new offensive system ahead of the upcoming season.
