Conflict Escalates in Boxing Federation of India Leadership
The leadership conflict within the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) has intensified as president Ajay Singh suspended secretary general Pramod Kumar. This action follows Kumar's earlier initiation of a no-confidence motion against Singh.
Singh's suspension of Kumar was communicated in a letter where he cited pending inquiries related to Kumar's conduct and financial decisions. Singh accused Kumar of attempting to undermine the federation by issuing unauthorized directives and spreading unverified claims in the media.
In response, Kumar contended that Singh's suspension is invalid due to the ongoing no-confidence motion against him, scheduled for a decision by the general house on October 28. Kumar claims to have the backing of 28 associations in opposing Singh's leadership.
