Connor Hellebuyck to Start for Devils Against Stars
Connor Hellebuyck is set to make his starting debut for the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday in Dallas against the Stars, as confirmed by the team after the morning skate.
Hellebuyck, who was acquired from the Winnipeg Jets last week, participated in his first practice with the Devils on Monday. Coach Sheldon Keefe expressed confidence in Hellebuyck's readiness, noting that he had no doubts after the morning skate.
The goaltender, a three-time Vezina Trophy winner, faced challenges during the 2025-26 season with the Jets, finishing with a 23-23-11 record. He has a notable career, including a Presidents’ Trophy-winning season and a gold medal at the Milan Cortina Olympics. Hellebuyck is under contract for five more seasons with an annual salary cap hit of $8.5 million.
