Conor Benn and Ryan Garcia Make Weight for WBC Title Fight

Conor Benn and Ryan Garcia have both successfully made the welterweight limit ahead of their WBC title fight scheduled for Saturday. Benn, hailing from Britain, weighed in at 10st 6lb (66kg), which is half a pound heavier than Garcia, the defending champion.

The official weigh-in occurred at the UFC Apex on Friday, attended by around 50 media members, with a public ceremonial event planned later. Garcia, 28, boasts a record of 25 wins, including 20 by knockout, while Benn, 29, has 25 victories, 14 of which are knockouts, and is seeking his first world title.

This fight marks Garcia's first title defense after he won the WBC belt in February. The weight cut has been a concern for Benn, who has not fought at the welterweight limit for over four years. Despite looking gaunt during the fight week, Benn appeared in good shape at the weigh-in. Garcia, known for his speed and counter-punching, also made weight without issues, dispelling concerns about his ability to meet the limit.
