
Contractor Injured in Fall at LIPA Sixth Form College
A contractor was hospitalized following a fall from a height at LIPA Sixth Form College in Liverpool. The incident occurred while the man was working on a new roof at the college on Upper Duke Street.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service reported that the man was found conscious and breathing around 09:20 BST in an enclosed area on the rooftop. Firefighters used an aerial platform to safely bring him down, and he was taken to the hospital with a leg injury, which is not believed to be serious according to the North West Ambulance Service.
Emergency crews implemented a road closure during the response to the incident. LIPA Sixth Form College principal Edward Pinner assured that the incident would not affect the enrolments scheduled for Thursday and expressed hopes for the contractor's swift recovery.
