Cooper Flagg Injured During Game Against Indiana
Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg exited Friday's game in Indiana due to a left shoulder injury sustained from a foul by Aaron Nesmith during a fast break.
The injury occurred late in the second quarter while Dallas held a significant lead. Nesmith was penalized with a flagrant foul for the incident, and both he and teammate Naji Marshall received technical fouls following a confrontation.
Despite making two free throws after the foul, Flagg was substituted out and later diagnosed with left shoulder soreness. He had an impressive performance prior to the injury, contributing 14 points, six assists, five rebounds, three steals, and a block in just 17 minutes. Head coach Dusty May indicated that Flagg would undergo evaluation in the coming days, raising concerns about his availability for the upcoming home opener against San Antonio.
