Cooper Flagg's Debut Patch Card Set for Auction Amid Bounty Offers
Cooper Flagg's highly sought-after Topps NBA Debut Patch card is scheduled for auction next month, alongside similar cards for Dylan Harper and Kon Knueppel. The auction will take place through Fanatics Collect from September 10 to 24.
This one-of-a-kind card, which features a patch worn during Flagg's first NBA regular season game, has attracted numerous bounty offers, including one from the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks proposed a package that included 32 years of season tickets and a signed jersey, but their offer was declined.
The Flagg card was pulled on August 10 during a box break at a Rhode Island hobby shop. The current owner, Jason Williams, chose to consign it with Fanatics Collect, which outbid other auction houses and offers. The auction is expected to generate significant interest, potentially surpassing previous high sales for modern basketball cards.
