Cooper Rush Discusses Practice Reps with Michael Penix Jr.
During a press conference following Wednesday's practice, Falcons quarterback Cooper Rush noted that he and Michael Penix Jr. shared first-team quarterback reps as they began preparations for the upcoming game.
Rush indicated that both he and Penix participated actively, although he was uncertain about the exact number of reps they took. Rush, who started in the Falcons' Week 1 loss to the Steelers, completed 12 of 22 passes for 143 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions, while also being sacked four times.
As the Falcons approach their next matchup against the Panthers, the team's decision on who will start at quarterback remains unannounced, and it is unclear if Penix will be ready to play on Sunday.
