COROS Introduces Full Mapping Feature for Pace 4 Watches
COROS has launched a significant firmware update for its Pace 4 watches, introducing full offline mapping capabilities. This update allows users to access mapping features comparable to those found in other COROS devices, such as the Pace Pro and Nomad.
Previously, the Pace 4 offered only breadcrumb-style routing, but now users can view a complete map beneath their routes. The maps are static and non-routable, meaning users cannot create or modify routes directly on the device; this must be done through external platforms like the COROS app or Strava Routes.
Storage limitations on the Pace 4, which has 4GB compared to 32GB on other models, may restrict the amount of map data that can be downloaded. However, users can selectively download specific map tiles, making it easier to manage storage. The mapping functionality is now available in public beta, allowing users to start downloading maps immediately.
