Waldo Cortes-Acosta is set to fight Johnny Walker in a five-round heavyweight main event at UFC Vegas 124 on November 7, after Sean Brady withdrew from the original matchup against Gabriel Bonfim.

The matchup features the No. 8-ranked Cortes-Acosta and the No. 12-ranked Walker, taking place at Meta Apex in Las Vegas. Cortes-Acosta, who has lost his last two fights, previously secured victories against Derrick Lewis, Shamil Gaziev, and Ante Delija. Walker, moving up to heavyweight, recently won against Mick Parkin and received a performance bonus for his quick finish.

This bout presents an opportunity for Cortes-Acosta to end his losing streak and maintain his top-10 ranking, while Walker aims to break into the heavyweight top 10 in his first five-round fight.
