Coventry City Signs Caleb Yirenkyi in Club-Record Deal
Coventry City has finalized the signing of Ghana midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi from Danish club Nordsjaelland, making it a club-record transfer.
The 20-year-old has agreed to a long-term contract, with the transfer fee reported at 27 million euros (£23.1 million), plus an additional 3 million euros (£2.5 million) in potential add-ons. Yirenkyi, who has two goals from 15 appearances for Ghana, made his international debut in May 2025 and scored a crucial stoppage-time goal during the World Cup.
This transfer marks Coventry's fifth signing of the summer as they return to the Premier League after a 25-year absence. Yirenkyi, a product of the Right to Dream academy, was recognized as the young player of the year in the Danish Superliga last season and is noted for his versatility, having played both in midfield and defense.
