Coventry City Signs Ethan Pinnock from Brentford
Coventry City has announced the signing of Ethan Pinnock, a centre-back from Jamaica, from Brentford for an undisclosed fee estimated at around £6 million.
The 33-year-old defender, who joined Brentford from Barnsley in 2019, made 216 appearances for the club, scoring 12 goals. Pinnock was in the final year of his contract and did not play in Brentford's opening match of the season against Tottenham.
Pinnock expressed enthusiasm about joining Coventry City, highlighting the significance of the club's return to the Premier League after 25 years. He joins former teammate Frank Onyeka at Coventry, which has made significant investments this summer, totaling over £100 million, with Pinnock being their 10th signing and the second defensive addition after Aurele Amenda.
