Coventry Secures 4-1 Victory Over Newcastle in Premier League
Coventry City celebrated their first home win of the season by defeating Newcastle United 4-1 in a Premier League match at the CBS Arena. This victory marks Coventry's second consecutive win, lifting them out of the relegation zone.
Jack Rudoni opened the scoring with a penalty in the sixth minute after Newcastle's goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek fouled Sidiki Cherif. Cherif then doubled the lead shortly after halftime with a powerful strike. Although Sven Botman scored a stunning long-range goal for Newcastle in the 70th minute, Coventry quickly restored their two-goal advantage through Ellis Simms, followed by a fourth goal from Stephen Mfuni.
Newcastle, suffering their second straight away defeat, struggled to capitalize on their chances, while Coventry's performance showcased their resilience and finishing ability. The team will aim for a third consecutive win against Tottenham next Monday.
