Cowboys Claim TE Zack Kuntz Off Waivers

The Dallas Cowboys have announced the acquisition of tight end Zack Kuntz off waivers from the Raiders on Thursday. This move coincides with the placement of TE Princeton Fant on the reserve/injured list.

Zack Kuntz, 26, was originally a third-round selection by the Jets in the 2023 NFL Draft after playing at Old Dominion. He signed a four-year rookie contract worth $4 million but was cut from the Jets' final roster. Throughout 2023 and 2024, he was frequently moved between the Jets' practice squad and active roster. After being released by New York following the preseason in August, Kuntz briefly joined the Dolphins before signing with the Raiders, who waived him shortly thereafter.

In his career, Kuntz has participated in two games for the Jets but has not recorded any statistics.
