Cowboys Name Kenny Clark and Quinnen Williams as Defensive Captains
The Dallas Cowboys have selected Kenny Clark and Quinnen Williams as their defensive captains for the current season, both of whom were acquired through trades involving Micah Parsons.
Last year, the Cowboys traded Parsons to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for Clark and two first-round draft picks. Subsequently, one of those picks was traded to the New York Jets to obtain Williams. Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer praised Williams for his leadership and commitment to winning, noting that his influence positively impacts the team.
In addition to Clark and Williams, quarterback Dak Prescott has been named the offensive captain, while kicker Brandon Aubrey will lead the special teams. Schottenheimer highlighted that the players voted for their captains, with these four players receiving the highest number of votes, reflecting their peers' respect and recognition.
