Cris Cyborg Confirms Return to MMA After Recent Fight
Cris Cyborg has announced her decision to continue her MMA career after a recent fight that was initially promoted as her farewell. The 41-year-old fighter confirmed her plans to compete again following her victory over Ketlen Vieira at PFL Tampa on August 22, where she defended her women’s featherweight title and achieved her 30th professional win.
Cyborg won the match by unanimous decision, despite Vieira weighing in over seven pounds above the featherweight limit. Cyborg highlighted her performance, stating that she demonstrated her ability to compete at a high level, landing nearly double the strikes compared to her opponent throughout the fight.
With her PFL contract now concluded, Cyborg is exploring her options, including potential opportunities with Scott Coker’s new Ki MMA promotion, a return to the UFC, or even wrestling with RAF. Additionally, she expressed interest in a possible fight with BKFC champion Christine Ferea, indicating her openness to various combat sports challenges.
