During his presentation, Romero voiced his support for Alvarez, stating that he sees him performing well and remaining focused on scoring goals. This comes after coach Diego Simeone offered a more reserved response to the fan chants, emphasizing respect for the supporters without directly addressing Alvarez's situation.

Atletico Madrid's president, Enrique Cerezo, also backed Alvarez, asserting that he was never on the market and expressing confidence that the forward would regain the fans' support soon. Alvarez is currently in individual training and is anticipated to play in the upcoming match against Villarreal.
