Cristiano Ronaldo May Reunite with Roberto Martínez at Al Nassr Amid Coaching Uncertainty
Cristiano Ronaldo might have the opportunity to work with Roberto Martínez again at Al Nassr, as the future of current coach Ange Postecoglou is being questioned just three months after he took the position. Reports from the Saudi television program Nadeena Show indicate that Postecoglou's job is at risk, with Martínez being a potential replacement.
Postecoglou, who joined Al Nassr in July on a two-year deal, initially led the team to five consecutive victories and earned the Saudi Pro League’s Manager of the Month award for August. However, the team's performance has declined, suffering a recent 4-0 defeat to Al Ain in the AFC Champions League, marking Ronaldo's heaviest loss since arriving in Saudi Arabia.
Currently, Al Nassr is positioned third in the Saudi Pro League with 16 points, trailing leaders Al Hilal by two points. Postecoglou is set to remain in charge for the upcoming match against Al Diriyah. Meanwhile, Martínez has been linked to other coaching roles in Saudi Arabia, including a potential position with the national team, although recent reports have clarified that the current national team coach, Georgios Donis, will continue in his role.
