Cristiano Ronaldo Scores Again, Approaches 1,000 Career Goals

Cristiano Ronaldo made his return to club soccer with Al-Nassr after a challenging international break with Portugal, where he faced controversy regarding his role on the national team. His latest match in the Saudi Pro League against Diriyah provided an opportunity to shift focus back to his performance on the field.

Ronaldo's appearance on October 9, 2026, at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh marked his first competitive game since leaving Portugal's training camp. Al-Nassr entered the match in third place in the league, while Diriyah was positioned eighth. Ronaldo scored during the match, bringing his career total to 980 goals, as he continues his pursuit of the significant milestone of 1,000 goals.

The veteran forward now requires 20 more goals to reach this landmark, a target that underscores his ongoing significance to Al-Nassr's attacking strategy. Despite the surrounding controversies, Ronaldo's scoring ability remains a key asset for the club as they aim to compete at the top of the league.
